About the Founder

Gabriel Oth Founder, Ngalmun Mabaegal Pty Ltd
Gabriel Oth is a proud Torres Strait Islander with cultural ties to the people of Wugalgau Village (Wug) on Mua Island and the people of Las Village of Piadrum and Samsep Clan Groups on Murray Island. He was born and raised on the traditional lands of the Bindal and Wulgurukaba Peoples in Townsville, North Queensland.
Gabriel is the founder of Ngalmun Mabaegal - Torres Strait Islander Social Enterprise,Townsville, a social entrepreneur dedicated to creating spaces of joy, connection, and well-being within communities. Inspired by a strong cultural upbringing rooted in leadership, family values, and community development, Gabriel leads with a vision to empower people through culture, collaboration, and meaningful engagement.
His leadership is guided by the principles of cultural integrity, community-first thinking, empowerment, and the belief that joy plays a vital role in building healthy and thriving communities. Through his work, Gabriel aims to honour cultural heritage while helping communities grow stronger together.
